This article intends to reflect on the influence of the Popular Education method of Paulo Freire in the NECRIA (Center for the study and extension on children and adolescents), which is developing a project in a school in the municipality of Franca with fourth-year students and 5 years of elementary school, informing and guiding on the rights provided for in the ECA (Statute of the child adolescent).

O presente artigo pretende refletir sobre a influência do método de Educação Popular, de Paulo Freire no NECRIA (Núcleo de estudos e extensão sobre crianças e adolescentes), o qual vem desenvolvendo um projeto de extensão em uma escola no município de Franca com alunos do 4º ano e 5º anos do ensino fundamental, informando e orientando sobre os direitos previstos no ECA (Estatuto da Criança do Adolescente).
