O objetivo principal desta pesquisa é compreender como os alunos do curso de Pedagogia efetuam a leitura de imagens em diferentes suportes. Com este trabalho, também se procurou verificar a formação desse futuros educadores enquanto leitores críticos de imagens e enquanto formadores de alunos par a leitura crítica de imagens. A pesquisa constou de vários momentos que alternaram entre relatos de suas vivências anteriores relacionadas com a arte, a formação que recebem para a leitura de imagens e cinco sessões feitas visando a leitura de imagens de fotografias, de curtas-metragens, de embalagens de produtos alimentícios, de propagandas veiculadas pela televisão e de obras de arte. O registro minucioso foi realizado por uma relatora e por mim, procurando escrever exatamente o que era falado. O contato com diversos teóricos viabilizou a elaboração deste trabalho. Durante esse processo, pude verificar que um contato maior com as imagens e com as obras de arte pode apurar o olhar sensível para suas leituras, assim como a convivência com leitores de imagens, que se dispões a aperfeiçoar sua leitura pode auxiliar-nos nessa evolução. O que encontrei durante esse processo foi um interesse dos envolvidos em também questionarem sua formação e se aprimorarem, sempre que possível, inclusive por meio de sua participação nesta pesquisa, dirigindo um olhar crítico voltado para a leitura das imagens e do mundo.

The main of this research is to understand how the students of Education course make the reading of images in different supports. The research also intents to verify the formation of these future educators while critic readers of images and pupil's educators for the critical reading of images. The research consisted in moments of their previous experiences stories whith the art and the students formation as image readers, in five sessions of image readling: photographs, short movies, paching of nourishing products. TV commercials and paintings. The detailed register was made by a student and I trying to write exactly what was spoken, and the contact with authors made possible the elaboration of this work. During the process, I could verify that a bigger contact with images and art can prefect the look for their reading, as well as the contact with image readers that also intent to perfect their reading can assist us in this evolution. In the development of this process, I found a great interest of the involved one in questioning thei formation whenever it's possible also through their participation in this research, their critical look directed to the images and worArtk reading.
