Resumo
O ser humano, em sua natureza, é um ser que sofre frente às adversidades da vida, carrega as feridas adquiridas de uma forma coletiva às individuais. A doença une esses dois fatores, dor e sofrimento, pois é nela que a pessoa vivencia a dor física e emocional concomitantes, dentro de sua individualidade, ou seja, cada um lida com a situação do adoecimento, de acordo com sua realidade física e psíquica. A hanseníase continua sendo um problema de saúde pública. Hoje, o Brasil ocupa o primeiro lugar em número de casos, já com uma nova proposta da Organização Mundial de Saúde, em atingir, até 2010, a meta de menos de 1/10.000 habitantes. É doença estigmatizada e com várias possibilidades de agravos, quando não diagnosticada precocemente. Um dos agravos é que o paciente da forma multibacilar pode apresentar antes, durante e após o tratamento, um quadro reacional traduzido por fenômenos agudos, denominado reação tipo 2. O presente estudo teve como objetivo avaliar emocionalmente o paciente hanseniano no Quadro Reacional Tipo 2, que apresenta ou tenha apresentado, comparado ao paciente sem qualquer tipo de reação. Estudou-se, de modo quantitativo, 50 pacientes, com diagnóstico de hanseníase, sendo 25 com diagnóstico de quadro reacional tipo 2 e 25 que não apresentaram, em nenhum momento, qualquer tipo de reação. Utilizou-se uma Entrevista semi-estruturada, com 23 questões, onde, posteriormente, as respostas foram tabuladas e analisadas estatisticamente e mais dois instrumentos para se avaliar qualidade de vida; sendo eles o DLQI-BRA e o WHOQOL-bref. Concluiu-se que os agravos emocionais, dos pacientes hansenianos, no quadro reacional tipo 2, são superiores ao dos pacientes que não apresentaram qualquer tipo de reação. Sickness unites both these factors, pain and suffering, as it’s in it that a person lives concomitant physical and emotional pain within his individuality, that is, each one deals with the situation of sickening according to his physical and psychic reality. Leprosy continues as a public health problem. Nowadays, Brazil occupies the first place in amount of cases, already with a new proposal from the World Health Organization in reaching until 2010 the goal of less than 1/10000 inhabitants. It is a stigmatized disease and with a lot of possibilities of aggravations if not diagnosed prematurely. One of the aggravations is that the patient in the multi-bacillary form may present before, during and after the treatment a reaction state translated by acute phenomena, denominated type 2 reaction. The purpose of this paper was to evaluate emotionally the leprosy patient in the Type 2 Reaction State, which presents it or had presented it, compared to the patient without any kind of reaction. It was studied, in a quantitative way, 50 patients with the diagnosis of leprosy, including 25 with a diagnosis of a type 2 reaction state and 25 that did no present, anytime, any kind of reactions. It was used a semi-structured interview with 23 questions in which, afterwards, the answers were tabulated and analyzed statistically and two more instruments were used to evaluate the quality of life, the DLQI-BRA and the WHOQOL-bref. It was concluded that the emotional aggravations of the leprosy patients with type 2 reaction state are higher than those of the patients that did not present any kind of reaction.
