Resumo
Tendo como referência um retrospecto da história das deficiências em geral e o levantamento de suas prevalências no Brasil e no mundo e, partindo do banco de dados de respostas dadas a uma questão aberta de um inquérito de saúde (PACHECO, 2004), procurou-se conhecer as principais dificuldades referidas por pessoas com deficiência física ou por um de seus cuidadores. Todas as dificuldades referidas pelos interlocutores, assim como outros aspectos contidos nas entrevistas e considerados relevantes foram codificados pela Classificação Internacional de Funcionalidade, Incapacidade e Saúde (CIF). Em relação às funções do corpo, as dificuldades mais referidas e presentes diziam respeito às funções mentais (31,4%) e funções sensoriais e dor (31,4%). Levando-se em conta outros dados do roteiro da entrevista, foi possível perceber que o item de maior relevância referia-se às funções neuro-músculo-esqueléticas e relacionadas ao movimento (47,5%). Em relação às estruturas do corpo, observou-se que as estruturas do sistema nervoso (61,3%) e estruturas relacionadas ao movimento (26,7%) foram as mais referidas. Quanto a atividades e participação, as dificuldades mais presentes foram as relacionadas com a mobilidade (51,4%) e as áreas principais da vida (20,1%). A respeito dos fatores ambientais, as principais barreiras encontradas referiam-se a produtos e tecnologias(46,3%) e apoio e relacionamentos (31,5%). No entanto, ao se considerarem outros dados, foi possível encontrar também, nos fatores ambientais, facilitadores referentes a apoio e relacionamentos (64,0%) e produtos e tecnologia (33,7%). Conclui-se, pela análise das respostas das entrevistas, que as pessoas com deficiência física podem ter aprendido a conviver com suas características biológicas, visto não terem mencionado como dificuldades...
Having as reference a retrospect of the history of the disabilities in general and the investigation of its prevalence in Brazil and around the world, and taking into consideration a database of answers given to an open question of a survey on health (PACHECO, 2004), it has meant to learn the main difficulties reported by people with physical impairments or by one of their caretakers. All the difficulties reported by the speakers, as well as other aspects brought up in the interviews and considered relevant were codified by the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (CIF). In relation to the body functions, the most reported and present difficulties are the ones with respect to mental functions (31,4%) and sensory functions and pain (31,4%). Taking into account other data of the interview, it was possible to note that the most relevant item referred to was the neuromusculoskeletal and movement-related functions (47,5%). In regards to the body structures, it was observed that the structures of the nervous system (61,3%) and structures related to movement (26,7%) were the most mentioned.
