dc.description.abstractA obra Histórias, produzida no século V a.C. por Heródoto de Halicarnasso, é o único escrito do chamado ―Pai da História que chegou até a contemporaneidade. O autor viveu entorno de 480 até aproximadamente 425 a.C, ou seja, entre o final das Guerras Greco-Pérsicas e o início da Guerra do Peloponeso. Em Histórias, aborda muito além das Guerras Greco-Pérsicas, cujo relato é o mais conhecido da sua obra na posteridade. A descrição sobre as Guerras começa somente no livro VI dos IX livros, os quais foram organizados posteriormente a sua época. Heródoto descreve, dentro deste contexto, as representações de atuações de mulheres gregas e persas como conselheiras de assuntos bélicos junto aos seus maridos e/ou demais personagens masculinos próximos. Nesse sentido, temos como hipótese que o autor grego coloca mulheres gregas e persas no mesmo patamar de atuação: de mantenedoras da ordem político-social. Uma perspectiva diferente da historiografia dos séculos XIX e XX, a qual analisou o feminino isolado das questões político-culturais da pólis e não valorizou as interações ocorridas entre homens e mulheres no interior dela ou mesmo das cidades persas. Acreditamos também, que independente da proveniência dessas mulheres, o autor as retrata como um veículo de alerta de conflitos bélicos e do cotidiano que ocorrem nas póleis gregas e na Pérsia. Pautado na análise da documentação, nos estudos de gênero e na historiografia já produzida sobre a temática, mapearemos e analisaremos o papel das mulheres nas guerras Greco-Pérsicas.pt
dc.description.abstractThe Histories, written in the fifth century BC by Herodotus of Halicarnassus, is the only work of the so-called "Father of History" that has reached the contemporary times. The author lived around 480 to about 425 BC, between the end of the Greco-Persian Wars and the beginning of the Peloponnesian War. In writing Histories, he approached more than the Greco-Persian Wars his best known work in posterity. The description of the Wars begins only in Book VI of the IX books organized after his time. Herodotus describes, in this context, the actions of Greek and Persian women as war advisers for their husbands and / or other male characters. According to that, we hypothesize that the Greek author places Greek and Persian women at the same level of performance: maintainers of the social-political order. A very different view of the historiography of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, which analyzed the feminine isolated from the cultural-political issues of the pólis and did not value the relationships between men and women inside it or even in the Persian cities. We also believe, regardless of the origin of these women, the author portrays them as a warning vehicle of warlike conflicts and daily life that occur in the Greek poleis and in Persia. Based on the analysis of documentation, gender studies and the historiography already produced on the subject, we will map and analyses the role of women in the Greco-Persian wars.en
