In this work we studied topological vector spaces and their properties. For this we use as main references [1] and [2]. The first one is more focused on the study of General Topology and the second on the study of Topological Vector Spaces, that is, vector spaces equipped with a topology so that the addition and scalar multiplication are continuous. We observed that in this topology, every topological vector space can be seen as a uniform space, every translation is a homeomorphism and has a neighborhood base of 0.
