| dc.description.abstract | Heuristic evaluation is an inspection method carried out by experts with objective of identifying problems in an interface, based on user’s needs and needs. It is based on practical knowledge and ongoing daily experience that can be applied to print media. Thus, the aim of this study was to evaluate, from the design perspective, a manual of hearing aids, previously analyzed by audiologists, elaborated according to the principles of Inclusive Graphic Design and Information Design. Five experienced designers participated in this evaluation, according to three phases: 1) preparation; 2) data collection and interpretation; and 3) consolidation and reporting of results. The evaluation had an online questionnaire, with questions related to design of each page of manual and 5 questions about guiding parameters for construction of it. The results show that average score obtained by manual pages was 3.7 (on a scale from one to five), considering it “efficient”. According to the evaluation of parameters, mean was 7 (on a scale from one to ten), organization of information obtained grade 7.4, typography, 6.6, layout 7 and illustrations 6. The overall quality of manual was classified with an average of 7.6. Thus, some comments were of great value and resulted in changes in project, especially regarding typography and organization of information. Evaluations of this nature demonstrate need to investigate graphic design aspects with professionals with practical and academic experience to detect possible flaws in the project. | en |
