Abstract

There is a considerable growing demand for innovative project management methods and tools. Due to the innovative nature of high-tech products, consumers constantly update their expectations regarding the quality standard of product attributes [1]. Considering critical applications, such as aerospace products, when quality is ineffective, it can cause loss of themission or even human life. Consequently, it brings to light the challenge of balancing the need for innovation without degrading the quality level and causing project failures. Additionally, industrial expansion has caused an increase in the use of resources, such as energy and water. Hence, it is crucial that projects also take into account their impacts. Consequently, there is an additional need for project management. Nowadays, it is required to keep quality effective without degrading it and causing fewer adverse effects on sustainability. Then, it is necessary to identify innovative methods and tools for quality assurance in projects. This publication chose the systematic literature review method to identify and classify innovative methods and tools for quality management and their contribution to project management. A Systematic Literature Review was conducted on the literature from 2010 to 2021. From the data analysis, a critical analysis of the innovative methods and tools for quality management in projects was completed and described in this publication.
