Resumo
This article aims to discuss the work of the digital classicist, based on the concept of professional genre (Clot, 2000). For this, we make use of oral texts and the textual analysis proposed by Sociodiscursive Interactionism, in order to verify their academic activities and the emerging characteristics of their métier. The results reveal elements regarding the institutional displacement of the digital classicist; the use of English as an international language; the diversity of the group of workers; the conflicting but enriching interactional environment; the computational artifacts and the use and creation of digital data; sharing and collaboration between researchers and collaborators; and the need to establish scientific actions and procedures that adapt according to technological innovations.
