EJA: um sonho possível, mas adormecido nas políticas de educação

Esta pesquisa realizou um estudo referente à política pública de Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA), que abarca um universo de estudantes que não tiveram o acesso, e mesmo oportunidade, à educação dita regular e que retornam à escola na modalidade EJA. A questão motivadora do estudo, foi verificar se o currículo implementado na escola está alinhado às legislações para atender às necessidades educacionais dos jovens e adultos. Como resultado da pesquisa constatou-se que a maioria das matrículas na Região Sudeste foi de mulheres com mais de 30 anos, pretas, pardas e que os currículos elaborados para a EJA não estavam alinhados as legislações e nem atenderam às necessidades educacionais e especificidades do público da EJA, pois reproduziram exclusivamente os conteúdos do Ensino Fundamental e Médio.

Abstract (english)

This research carried out a study regarding the public policy of Youth and Adult Education (EJA), which encompasses a universe of students who did not have access, or even opportunity, to so-called regular education and who return to school in the EJA modality. The motivating question of the study was to verify if the curriculum implemented in the school is in line with the legislation to meet the educational needs of young people and adults. As a result of the research, it was found that most enrollments in the Southeast Region were women over 30 years old, black, brown and that the curricula designed for EJA were not aligned with legislation and did not meet the educational needs and specificities of the public. of the EJA, because they exclusively reproduced the contents of Elementary and Secondary Education.
