Abstract
Abstract (english)
The Geopolitics events and their conceptions are inseparable from the turmoil and tragedies of the twentieth century. This can be understood as one of the direct descendants of the disturbing human desire to build a science of power. Thus, the Geopolitics due a scientific apprehension of the interactions between man and space make it possible to ascend the laws of power. The present study has as main objective to understand the ideas and theories established by the German General Karl Haushofer, as well as the incidence of thought ratzelian in the construction of rules of this military-geographer. Moreover, we seek to analyze the degree of influence of Haushofer and of German Geopolitik before the strategic decisions architected by the Third Reich, from Hitler's rise to power until the end of Nazism in May 1945.
Abstract (portuguese)
A Geopolítica, suas concepções e vicissitudes são indissociáveis das turbulências e das tragédias do século XX. Esta pode ser compreendida como um dos descendentes diretos do inquietante desejo humano de construir uma ciência do poder. Assim, a Geopolítica graças a uma apreensão científica das interações entre o homem e o espaço torna possível ascender às leis do poder. O presente trabalho tem como principal objetivo compreender as ideias e teorias estabelecidas pelo general alemão, Karl Haushofer, bem como, a incidência do pensamento ratzeliano na construção dos preceitos deste militar-geógrafo. Além disso, buscase analisar o grau de influência de Haushofer e da Geopolitik alemã perante as decisões estratégicas arquitetadas pelo III Reich, desde a subida de Hitler ao poder até o fim do regime nazista em maio de 1945.
