A fim de expandir o conhecimento sobre a maior guerra civil, do século XXI, este trabalho aspira em analisar os acontecimentos que permearam e proporcionaram a guerra civil da Síria, desde 2011 até meados de 2019, por meio de uma metodologia de pesquisa que envolve mídias eletrônicas: Carta Capital (Brasil); Veja (Brasil); e BBC (Reino Unido), as quais foram confrontadas com a visão científica contidas em fontes secundárias, como artigos e teses científicos. Por meio da pesquisa sobre o conflito sírio nesses veículos de comunicação, procuramos compreender como foi retratado e, auxiliados por fontes secundárias, almejando uma análise do caso Sírio, das abordagens distintas a respeito e sobre a crise humanitária envolvida. Sendo assim, nosso intuito é adquirir conhecimento sobre os conflitos na região, especialmente sobre o caso da Síria e, as consequenciais deste conflito, como a crise humanitária e os interesses políticos internacionais envolvidos no território.
Abstract (english)
To expand knowledge about the greatest civil war of the 21st century, this work aims to analyze the events that permeated and provided the Syrian civil war, from 2011 to mid-2019, through a research methodology that involves media electronic: Carta Capital (Brazil); Veja (Brazil); and BBC (United Kingdom), which were confronted with the scientific view contained in secondary sources, such as scientific articles and theses. Through research on the Syrian conflict in these media, we seek to understand how it was portrayed and, aided by secondary sources, aiming at an analysis of the Syrian case, the different approaches to it, and the humanitarian crisis involved. Therefore, we aim to acquire knowledge about conflicts in the region, especially in the case of Syria and the consequences of this conflict, such as the humanitarian crisis and the international political interests involved in the territory.
