Resumo
Organizations are responsible for providing conditions for the generation and sharing of knowledge within organizational environments, using tools that contribute to knowledge being externalized and internalized in a continuous manner. In times of misinformation and the spread of false news, a strategy that aims to motivate the conscious generation of information and knowledge becomes paramount, and it is based on this strategy that a cooperative observatory has been carrying out its activities in support of knowledge management and credit and agricultural organizations. In order to demonstrate the reality of a cooperative observatory from the perspective of knowledge management, the study starts from the following questions: what are the ways to put the knowledge management process into practice? How has the Credit Cooperative Observatory of the Ribeirão Preto School of Economics, Administration and Accounting applied and developed a virtual monetization process as a knowledge management process? It is a descriptive and bibliographic research, which works with reflections and with the reality of a platform used by the observatory. As results, it was identified what, initially, was already configured as a hypothesis: there are several ways to apply knowledge management, and one of them is the creation of contextual virtual monetization that stimulates the execution of knowledge management activities by individuals. In addition, it was presented in detail how this practice of monetization works in its usual way, which resulted in the second finding: the application of virtual monetization contributes not only to the process of acquiring knowledge, but also to the organization, collection, storage, retrieval, interpretation and effective and intelligent use of data, information and knowledge.
