The purpose of this work was evaluate the mechanical resistance, the degree of conversion and glass transition temperature properties of three orthondontic light-cured resins (Fill Magic, Ortho Lite Cure and Transbond (XT) in function of the humidity, temperature, irradiation time and power density of the light-curing unit. The mechanical resistence was evaluated through shear strength and Vickers hardness measurements. The degree of conversion and glass transition were evaluated by infrared and mechanical spectroscopy, respectively. The results showed that the Ortho Lite Cure and Transbond XT resins have shear bond strength and hardness statistically higher than Fill Magic resin, to have reached a higher degree of conversion. Higher glass transition temperature was observed for the resins Ortho Lite Cure and Transbond XT. These results may be related to differences in the structure and in the inorganic content of materials. The irradiation time and power density of the light-curing units significantly influenced the evaluated properties. The use of a shorter time of irradiation associated to a lower power density caused a reduction in the values of mechanical resistance, degree of conversion and glass transition temperature. The humidity did not influence the hardness of resins. On the other hand, the heat treatments influenced the mechanical behavior of resins and it promoted in the glass transition temperature.
