Resumo
This article presents an experience developed in the fifth grade of elementary school with literary reading and text production using the book Felpo Filva the author Eva Furnari in order to answer the question: What is the contribution that the reading of literary texts can make to the formation of competent writers in the first cycle of basic education? The work is grounded by the Basic Literacy Literary sequence proposed by the author Rildo Cosson, which consists of four phases: a) Motivation b) Introduction c) reading d) Interpretation. Brings the story of reading and writing activities developed in the classroom demonstrating the quality of the texts produced by the students
