Resumo

The lack of stream flow data on small watershed studies prevents water use research. The estimate of water availability from watersheds with no stream flow data is usually performed based on hydrological models as rainfall-runoff or hydrological information on watersheds from the same region – regionalization of flow. Hydrological models of the rainfall-runoff type were developed in order to synthesize flow series in specific spots to forecast flows or synthesize flows in spots with lack of information. This study aimed at quantifying the flow of the Lavapés stream for possible reactivation of HPMS hydroelectric Lageado Farm. For this purpose, the Win_IPH2 rainfall-runoff model developed by the Institute of Hydraulic Research at the Rio Grande do Sul Federal University was used. Precipitation and evaporation series and data on the watershed area were introduced in the program. Calibration of the program was performed, and afterward, graphics, data on the calculated flow and flow-duration curve were obtained. The methodology of this study allowed quantification of the Lavapés stream flow and generation of the Permanence Curve in the period from January 2009 to December 2012 with satisfactory results.
