In this text the research developed with students of the 7th year of Elementary School of the Public Schools of São José dos Campos - SP. Students performed activities related to the idea of volume of a geometric solid in GeoGebra software. The goal of the research is to understand how visualization is / can be leveraged with technologies in geometry activities. In order to familiarize ourselves with the topic of visualization we have made a theoretical revision seeking to understand its meaning in the teaching of geometry and also on the work with technologies in the classroom. From what was shown in the readings, we elaborated activities that could favor the visualization with the chosen software, the GeoGebra. There were seven meetings with the students who attending a full time public school. The meetings took place in the period for extracurricular activities. The data production of the research was based on the filming and transcription of the meetings with the students. In the analysis of the data, following the rigor of the qualitative research of phenomenological approach, we turn our attention to the possibilities that were opened from the software for the student's learning. The interpretation allows us to say that the Movement is a possibility for the understanding of the geometric object, the visualization is relevant so that student can realize investigations of geometric properties and for the formation of the geometric idea of volume. These are the Categories of Analysis that, when its discussed, lead us to the understanding that there is a potential for geometric learning with the technologies for having the intention of the subject to understand the challenges that the teacher proposes to him.
