Definições terminológicas da Revisão de Textos: estudos iniciais para a elaboração de um glossário.

Resumo
Considerando que o termo consiste em uma unidade lexical cujo valor especializado é ativado na verificação de seus contextos de uso em um determinado domínio , entendemos que descrever os termos de uma área implica compreender o funcionamento dela. Nesse sentido, a ausência de trabalhos terminológicos e/ou terminográficos sobre a Revisão de Textos e as inquietações do domínio, sobretudo em relação aos termos da área, que se mostram imprecisos e variáveis, motivaram a presente pesquisa. Ao verificar que a instabilidade terminológica do domínio favorece a desvalorização desse profissional do texto, chamado revisor, e dificulta o reconhecimento da Revisão como atividade e área de estudo, investigamos e descrevemos o domínio da Revisão de Textos, buscando entender o seu funcionamento e, assim, reestruturar a área por meio da elaboração de definições terminológicas. Para isso, partimos da Teoria Comunicativa da Terminologia (CABRÉ, 1999), fundamentação teórica que considera a Terminologia uma ciência interdisciplinar e de base descritiva, e, de início, apresentamos brevemente a história da prática de revisão, os principais conceitos da área e as inquietações em relação à profissão e ao profissional do texto, especialmente no que se refere à formação e à atuação do revisor. Organizamos, então, um corpus da área, sistematizamos uma sequência de etapas terminológicas – compilação do corpus, extração automática dos termos, edição da estrutura conceitual, criação da ficha terminológica, incremento da base definicional e redação das definições terminológicas –, descrevemos e analisamos os resultados, com o auxílio de ferramentas computacionais como e-Termos e AntConc. Ao final da pesquisa, chegamos a 31 definições que irão compor o primeiro glossário em língua portuguesa do domínio da Revisão de Textos, o qual visa atender às necessidades tanto de especialistas da área quanto de profissionais do texto, estudantes em geral e iniciantes no assunto. Contribuímos, portanto, para os estudos de (i) Terminologia e Terminografia, já que a pesquisa está fundamentada em aspectos teóricos da Terminologia e apresenta um produto terminográfico, e para (ii) o domínio da Revisão de Textos, na medida em que buscamos requalificar e esclarecer a discussão do domínio e gerar seu primeiro glossário.
Considering that the term consists of a lexical unit whose specialized value is activated when contexts of use are verified in a given domain, to us, describing the terms of a field implies in comprehending its behavior. In this sense, the absence of terminological works and/or terminographics in Proofreading and the domain concerns, mainly regarding the field terms which are shown to be imprecise and variable, motivated this research. When verifying that the terminological instability in the field favors the debauchery of this professional, called proofreader, and hampers the acknowledgment of Proofreading as an activity and study area, we aim to investigate and describe the domain of Text Proofreading, pursuing to understand its behavior and, thus, to restructure the field through the elaboration of terminological definitions. For that, we depart from The Communicative Theory of Terminology (CABRÉ, 1999), a theoretical basis which considers Terminology as an interdisciplinary science and of descriptive basis. We seek to present, briefly, the proofreading practice History, the main concepts of the field and the concerns about the profession and the text professional, especially in what concerns the proofreader’s education and professional performance. For the execution of this work, we organized a field corpus and followed a sequence of terminological phases, namely – the corpus compilation, automatic extraction of terms, conceptual framework edition, creation of terminology record, increment of the definitional base and writing terminological definitions. The description and result analysis were based on the use of computational tools, such as e- Termos and AntConc. At the end of the research, we achieve 31 definitions that going to be part of the first Brazilian Portuguese language glossary of the Proofreading domain which aims to suits the needs of either field specialists or text professionals, students in general and beginners. Therefore, we contribute to (i) the studies of Terminology and Terminography, since the research is based on theoretical aspects of Terminology and presents, at the end, a terminographic product. Hence, we contribute to (ii) the studies of Editorial Mediation, mostly in the Proofreading domain, in that it seeks to requalify and clarify the discussion of the field and generates the first field’s glossary.
