Resumo

This work used the DSSAT/CANEGRO (Decision Support System for Agrotechnology Transfer) simulation model to simulate the stem and sugar potential productivity of sugarcane cultivated in the Southeast (Bauru-SP and Jaú-SP) region, analyzing four varieties in different planting dates and two scenarios: rainfed and irrigated. The sugarcane varieties evaluated were RB86 7515, CTC 4, 7 and CTC CTC 20 (all in a cycle of 1.5 year). The results were submitted to variance analysis and the means were compared by Tukey test, at 5% probability. In rainfed conditions, the results showed that sugarcane planting should occur in September and November for Bauru, SP, and in September at Jaú, SP. In irrigated environment, there was no difference in stem productivity according to the planting date, for all evaluated regions and for all varieties. The stem and sugar productivities were always higher in irrigated environment when compared to the rainfed, in all locations and in all varieties. The simulation model generated good estimates of stem and sugar yields compared to experimental data from Jaú, SP.
