Resumo
Relações de gênero e sexualidade têm sido temas de interesse, discussão e pesquisa em diversas áreas do conhecimento científico. Assim o presente estudo inscreve-se no quadro de uma observação ampla e ao mesmo tempo criteriosa, da diversidade sexual no meio escolar, cuja proposta é analisar as representações e práticas docentes sobre seus saberes e fazeres no processo de socialização, ensino e aprendizagem dos alunos levando em consideração a diversidade sexual na escola. O intento desse trabalho é mostrar a importância da discussão da temática “diversidade sexual” no ambiente escolar vista sob a ótica dos professores, estimulando reflexões a respeito de nossas próprias acepções em relação a esse tema, de moda a reafirmar a importância da discussão a respeito da Educação Sexual na escola. No entanto, percebe-se ainda uma forte resistência quanto às questões relativas à sexualidade, gênero e diversidade sexual nesse âmbito. A escola é um espaço de fundamental importância na promoção do respeito às diversidades sociais, uma vez que ela tem a responsabilidade de acolher sujeitos diversos. Discutir essa temática auxilia no entendimento das especificidades individuais, buscando a aceitação e o respeito necessários à convivência entre iguais numa sociedade democrática. Para atingir os objetivos do presente estudo, servimo-nos da pesquisa qualitativa que foi o norteador do processo investigativo, no intuito de garantir maior rigor do conhecimento apropriado neste assunto. Em seguida verificou as representações sociais dos professores acerca da diversidade sexual visando à compreensão da forma como tais representações poderiam influenciar, ou contribuir, para a construção ou desconstrução de preconceitos e discriminações que perpassam o ambiente escolar. As informações obtidas foram organizadas por meio da análise de conteúdo e para a análise desse conteúdo, foram utilizados núcleos temáticos de representação social.

Thus the present study is part of a broad and at the same time careful observation of sexual diversity in the school environment, whose proposal is to analyze the representations and teaching practices about their knowledge and practices in the process of socialization, teaching and learning of students. taking into account sexual diversity in school. The purpose of this paper is to show the importance of the discussion of the theme "sexual diversity" in the school environment seen from the teachers' perspective, stimulating reflections about our own perceptions regarding this theme, so as to reaffirm the importance of the discussion about of Sex Education at school. However, there is still strong resistance to issues related to sexuality, gender and sexual diversity in this area. School is a space of fundamental importance in promoting respect for social diversity, since it has the responsibility of welcoming diverse subjects. Discussing this theme helps in understanding individual specificities, seeking the acceptance and respect necessary for coexistence among equals in a democratic society. To achieve the objectives of this study, we used the qualitative research that was the guiding of the investigative process, in order to ensure greater rigor of appropriate knowledge in this subject. Then, it verified the teachers' social representations about sexual diversity in order to understand how such representations could influence or contribute to the construction or deconstruction of prejudices and discrimination that permeate the school environment. The information obtained was organized through content analysis and for the analysis of this content, thematic nuclei of social representation were used.
