Paracoccidioidomycosis is a mycosis caused by the dimorphic fungus Paracoccidioides brasiliensis, which is endemic in Latin America, mainly in Brazil. The primary route of infection is the lung, by inhalation of the fungus spores. In the lympho-hematogenous dissemination, the infection reaches the oral mucosa and the gingival sulcus. This paper aims to present a case of a female patient, without systemic changes or deleterious habits, who had widespread oral manifestations of paracoccidioidomycosis that were treated with appropriate therapy and showed regression of the symptoms in two months of clinical control. Based on the clinical case presented, it may be concluded that the role of the dentist is fundamental in the diagnosis of the paracoccidioidomycosis.
