Banking activity is changing every day, because of population dissatisfaction with traditional banks and the expansion of alternative financial institutions. Based on the above idea, the research was realized, which aims to analyze in depth these alternative financial institutions, denominated fintechs, seeking to understand how financial technology influences the National Financial System, and finally, to understand success obtained by these new institutions. To arrive at the results, a bibliographic review was realized on several international and national authors, an analysis on the differentiation between traditional banks and fintech and to understand financial technologies within the National Financial System. As a result, technological advances made over the years and their consequences were evident. It is possible to observe the success of these new institutions and their traces left in the National Financial System, which gradually shows several advances in the field of diversity and power of choice for the agents of this system. As much as there is a more conservative side to innovations and hegemonic on the part of banks, there is no evidence that banks will cease to exist because they are competing in the market with fintechs. There is even a correlated existence within the financial system, pointing to a movement in the financial sector as the direction of a more collaborative and innovative economy. With technological movement present in the National Financial System and the idea of collaboration, we find Open Banking, which highlights the evolution of the global economy and technological features. Through these financial technologies and their consequences, it is noticeable that the financial system has adapted to technological developments, to highlight the dynamics of the financial ecosystem.
