Resumo
O ciberespaço, um ambiente que proporciona diversos tipos de interação entre seus usuários, por meio da rede de internet, passa a ser um dos principais mecanismos de comunicação da sociedade atual e com isso as modalidades esportivas também fazem parte desse contexto e sua interferência começa a ser considerada. A pesquisa apresenta como hipótese que há interferência na iniciação esportiva sobre a inserção de pais e filhos no ciberespaço, isso considerado pelo fator da internet possibilitar aos seus usuários uma imersão de possibilidades, conteúdos e informações. A dissertação possuiu como objetivo investigar a percepção dos pais sobre a influência do ciberespaço na iniciação esportiva de seus filhos. O trabalho foi estruturado em procedimento de pesquisa quantitativa, com caráter de análise descritiva. Para coleta de dados foi aplicado um questionário, de autoria própria, com elemento estruturado, composto por 10 questões abertas e 22 fechadas. O grupo foi composto por 30 participantes, com idade média de 39,25 anos, responsáveis por 51 crianças. A partir da análise e discussão dos resultados foi possível encontrar que há uma maior participação dos pais durante as atividades nos dias atuais, o que sugere uma maior participação das mães durante as atividades, assim como as mães e pais de meninos são mais atuantes e as mães e pais de meninas utilizam com maior frequência o ciberespaço para busca de informações sobre o modo de agir da criança no esporte. Portanto, em relação à interferência do ciberespaço sobre os pais na iniciação esportiva, o instrumento e resultados não foram capazes de confirmar a hipótese, mesmo assim sugere-se que a mesma não seja descartada e novas pesquisas sobre a temática devem ser realizadas para uma melhor compreensão do fenômeno estudado.
Cyberspace, a place that provides different types of interaction between its users through the internet network, has become one of the most important communication mechanisms in the society nowadays. Considering that, since sports are also part of this context, its interference starts to be considered. The research hypothesizes that there is interference in sports initiation based on the insertion of parents and children in cyberspace, which is considered by the fact the internet allows its users to immerse themselves in possibilities, content and information. The dissertation aimed to investigate the perception of parents about the influence of cyberspace on their children's sports initiation. The work was structured in a quantitative research procedure, with descriptive analysis character. For data collection, a self-authored questionnaire was applied, with a structured element, consisting of 10 open and 22 closed questions. The group consisted of 30 participants, with a medium age of 39.25 years, that were responsible for 51 children. From the analysis and discussion of the results, it was possible to relate that there is a higher participation of fathers during the activities nowadays, which suggests a higher participation of mothers during the activities, as the mothers and fathers of boys are more active and the mothers and fathers of girls use cyberspace more frequently to search for information about the way of acting of their child in sport. Therefore, regarding the interference of cyberspace on parents in sports initiation, the instrument and results were not able to confirm the hypothesis, even so it is suggested that it should not be discarded and also that further research on the subject should be carried out for a better understanding of the phenomenon studied.
