The Histories, written in the fifth century BC by Herodotus of Halicarnassus, is the only work of the so-called "Father of History" that has reached the contemporary times. The author lived around 480 to about 425 BC, between the end of the Greco-Persian Wars and the beginning of the Peloponnesian War. In writing Histories, he approached more than the Greco-Persian Wars his best known work in posterity. The description of the Wars begins only in Book VI of the IX books organized after his time. Herodotus describes, in this context, the actions of Greek and Persian women as war advisers for their husbands and / or other male characters. According to that, we hypothesize that the Greek author places Greek and Persian women at the same level of performance: maintainers of the social-political order. A very different view of the historiography of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, which analyzed the feminine isolated from the cultural-political issues of the pólis and did not value the relationships between men and women inside it or even in the Persian cities. We also believe, regardless of the origin of these women, the author portrays them as a warning vehicle of warlike conflicts and daily life that occur in the Greek poleis and in Persia. Based on the analysis of documentation, gender studies and the historiography already produced on the subject, we will map and analyses the role of women in the Greco-Persian wars.
