Resumo

The objective of this study was to determine the influence of environmental factors on milk production of buffaloes of the Colombian Atlantic coast. Analyses of variance for milk production in the test day in the different months from lactation were made. The production averages varied from 4.64 ± 1.33 kg to 3.04 ± 1.17 kg, with coefficient of variation from 36.36% to 27,16%. The variance analyses showed that the effect of the month, year and month x year was highly significant, in all the control days, being non significant the effect of month in the ninth control. The analyses of correlations of the yield between near controls (PDC) were high and positive, which varied from 0.84 to 0.64. The milk yield in buffaloes of the Colombian Atlantic Coast is influenced highly by environmental factors such as the month, year and age at calving.
