Resumo
A utilização de produtos provenientes da suinocultura está muito presente em nosso cotidiano. Na produção animal não se aproveita apenas a carne, durante o processo de abate são retirados o que chamamos de subprodutos, que são as vísceras, ossos, sangue e todas as partes que normalmente não são encontradas no açougue. Com isso temos diversos fins para estes subprodutos, atuando como componentes durante o processo de fabricação de fármacos e cosméticos. Ao consumir produtos industrializados, desde o ramo alimentício até o cosmético, pouco sabemos sobre sua composição, atualmente tem-se aumentado o investimento em produtos veganos, ou seja, sem nenhum componente de origem animal, porém este também apresenta maior valor agregado. Desta forma realizou-se um levantamento de dados através da aplicação de formulários eletrônicos, com o objetivo de analisar o conhecimento dos entrevistados referente a composição dos produtos alimentícios, cosméticos e medicamentos que normalmente consomem e se os participantes têm conhecimento de algum subproduto de origem suína que possa constar no produto utilizado. Foi constatado que 95% dos entrevistados consomem carne suína, porém o conhecimento dos entrevistados em relação aos subprodutos da suinocultura é desconhecido, uma vez que 54,6% dos entrevistados não tinham conhecimento sobre esses subprodutos e 28,6% nunca pensou a respeito do assunto. O que reforça a importância da transparência das marcas, principalmente no ramo da estética, com seus consumidores e o acesso e divulgação dessas informações para a população, pois os animais estão muito mais presentes na vida do ser humano do que se imagina.
The use of products from pig farming is very present in our daily lives. From an animal not only the meat is used, during the slaughtering process what we call by-products are removed, which are the viscera, bones, blood, and all parts that are not normally found in the butcher shop. Thus, we have several purposes for these by-products, acting as components during the manufacturing process of drugs and cosmetics. When consuming industrialized products from the food industry to the cosmetic industry, little is known about their composition, currently, there has been an increase in investment in vegan products, that is, products without any component of animal origin, but this also comes with a greater added value. In this way, a data collection was carried out through the application of electronic forms, to analyze the knowledge of the interviewees regarding the composition of the food products, cosmetics, and medicines that they normally consume and if the participants are aware of any byproducts of origin. pork that may appear in the product used. It was found that 95% of respondents consume pork, but the knowledge of respondents about by-products of swine farming is unknown since 54.6% of respondents had never heard of by-products and 28.6% had never thought about the subject. This reinforces the importance of brand transparency, especially in the field of beauty, with their consumers and the access and dissemination of this information to the population, as animals are much more present in the life of human beings than one imagines.
