Resumo
Este trabalho apresenta resultados da pesquisa “A relação entre técnica vocal e repertório no contexto da atividade coral amadora: um estudo bibliográfico”. Tendo como procedimento metodológico a pesquisa bibliográfica, através do método dialético, propõe mapear na literatura especializada as ideias referentes à relação entre técnica vocal e repertório na atividade coral amadora e refletir criticamente a respeito dessas ideias. Essa relação é entendida como objeto de estudo do campo da prática interpretativa, e o referencial teórico para análise e interpretação dos dados está baseado nas ideias de Frank Kuehn relativas à reconceituação dos termos “interpretação” e “performance”. Os objetivos específicos são: levantar na literatura consultada em que consiste a técnica vocal e qual a relevância dela na atividade coral, bem como averiguar nessa literatura o repertório para o canto coral. O outro objetivo específico é relatar a preparação de uma obra coral e relacioná-la com os resultados desta pesquisa. Para auxiliar na coleta de dados foi elaborado um roteiro de leitura que contemplou 30 textos. Os resultados indicam uma relação interdependente entre a técnica vocal e o repertório coral e destacam a relevância dessa interação: a necessidade de um maior vínculo entre técnica vocal e repertório; as características estilísticas de cada repertório e a especificidade da emissão vocal requerida; o manuseio do trato vocal na construção da sonoridade; exercícios vocais retirados e criados a partir do repertório; o planejamento do trabalho vocal e a transferência do aprendizado entre as obras trabalhadas.
This work presents results of the research “The relationship between vocal technique and repertoire in the context of amateur choral activity: a bibliographic study.” Having as a methodological procedure the bibliographic research, through the dialectical method, it proposes to map in the specialized literature the ideas referring to the relationship between vocal technique and repertoire in the amateur choral activity and to reflect critically about these ideas. This relationship is understood as an object of study in the field of interpretive practice and the theoretical framework for data analysis and interpretation is based on Frank Kuehn's ideas regarding the reconceptualization of the terms interpretation and performance. The specific objectives are: to survey in the consulted literature what vocal technique consists of and what is its relevance in choral activity as well as to investigate in this literature about the repertoire for choral singing. Still within the specific objectives, report the preparation of a choral work and relate it to the results of this research. To assist in data collection, a reading script was developed that included 30 texts. The results indicate an interdependent relationship between vocal technique and choral repertoire, and point to the relevance of this interaction: the need for a greater link between vocal technique and repertoire; the stylistic characteristics of each repertoire and the specificity of the vocal emission required; the handling of the vocal tract in the construction of sonority; vocal exercises taken from and created from the repertoire; the planning of the vocal work and the transfer of learning between the works worked.
