O Envelhecimento no Tempo Presente: a era digital e tecnológica e sua nova demanda para o serviço social brasileiro

Resumo
A temática “O Envelhecimento no Tempo Presente: A Era Digital Tecnológica e suas Nova Demanda para o Serviço Social Brasileiro”, é atual e tem uma relevância acadêmica, social e política. Traçamos os seguintes pontos para compreender a temática: (i) partindo da análise das visões do envelhecimento ao longo das sociedades históricas, na Idade Antiga, Idade Média, Idade Moderna e Idade Contemporânea; (ii) foi resgatado o processo de globalização e revolução informacional; (iii) apresentado a era digital tecnológica e evidenciado os desafios para as pessoas idosas; (iv) foi exposto e contextualizado o espaço virtual no contexto da pandemia de Covid 19 (v) e por fim, foi feita a reflexão e estratégias que podem ser desenvolvidas para oportunizar a inclusão digital (conhecer, ter, acessar e usar) às tecnologias da informação e comunicação (TIC), visando a inserção das pessoas idosas no “mundo digital” através do trabalho do assistente social. Trata-se de um estudo exploratório, de caráter explicativo, além de ter sido constituído a partir de levantamentos bibliográficos de autores que já estudaram a presente temática.
The theme “The Present Age: The Demand Era for Social Work”, is current and has a Brazilian Technological, social and political consolidation. We draw the following points to understand a theme: (i) starting from the analysis of the visions of aging throughout historical societies, in the Ancient Age, Middle Ages, Modern Age and Contemporary Age; (ii) the process of globalization and information revolution was rescued; (iii) presented the digital technological era and highlighted the challenges for the elderly; (iv) the virtual space was exposed and contextualized in the context of Covid19(v) and finally, the reflection and strategies that can be developed to create opportunities for digital inclusion (knowing, having, accessing and using) information technologies were carried out and communication (ICT), aiming at the insertion of the elderly in the work “digital world” through the social worker. This is an exploratory, explanatory study, in addition to having been constituted from bibliographic studies of authors who have already studied this bibliographic.
