Resumo
O presente trabalho trouxe um tema pouco explorado dentro da área de ciências,
características taxonômicas e ecológicas dos animais pertencentes ao grupo dos
aracnídeos, utilizando-se de metodologias investigativas e práticas, proporcionando
maior curiosidade e participação dos alunos de 7º e 9º ano de uma escola estadual do
estado de São Paulo. Para facilitar o processo de ensino-aprendizagem, paulatinamente
foram introduzidos conceitos científicos e suas aplicações, visando uma alfabetização
científica para sustentar as ideias e imaginação dos alunos, ampliando a visão de mundo
dos educandos. Durante a regência desse trabalho, a horta da escola foi reformada e
ampliada graças à cooperação entre os alunos, estes, divididos em grupos de poucos
integrantes e com funções específicas. Além disso, houve uma busca ativa por
aracnídeos no ambiente escolar, contando com a supervisão e auxílio dos estagiários e da
professora responsável. Os resultados desse trabalho mostraram um crescente interesse
por parte dos estudantes, conforme as aulas de cunho mais teórico eram
complementadas com alguma atividade prática, onde comumente os alunos faziam
relatos pessoais envolvendo temas ministrados durante o trabalho, entendendo-se como
eficiente a utilização de metodologias alternativas para o ensino de Ciências e Biologia.
The present work brought a little explored theme within the area of science, taxonomic and ecological characteristics of animals belonging to the group of arachnids, using investigative and practical methodologies, providing greater curiosity and participation of 7th and 9th grade students from a school in the state of São Paulo. To facilitate the teaching-learning process, scientific concepts and their applications were gradually introduced, aiming at a scientific literacy to support the student’s ideas and imagination, broadening their world view. During the regency of this work, the school garden was reformed and expanded thanks to the cooperation between the students, who were divided into groups of a few members and with specific functions. In addition, there was an active search for arachnids in the school environment, with the supervision and assistance of the trainees and the teacher in charge. The results of this work showed a growing interest on the part of the students, as the more theoretical classes were complemented with some practical activity, where the students often made personal reports involving themes taught during the work, understanding the use of alternative methodologies for teaching science and biology as efficient.
