Resumo
O que pode ser a mente humana? Como se torna possível sua investigação? A filosofia da mente, ao tomar um tal objeto de estudo, depara-se com questões sobre sua natureza e da realidade na qual se situa, bem como das relações entre ambas as instâncias, configurando um aspecto ontológico de sua investigação. Por outro lado, a própria ação de realizar uma investigação, em seu aspecto epistemológico, depende, em última instância, do funcionamento da mente humana. Sendo tal funcionamento pertencente ao objeto da própria investigação, a coerência de ambos os campos, onto e epistemológico, se define por uma construção dinâmica de um pelo outro. Na psicanálise, Bion se debruça num inquérito sobre a epistemologia, não apenas como embasamento da teorização psicanalítica, mas também como instrumento para auxiliar na investigação do funcionamento mental, em especial, no desenvolvimento de sua teoria sobre o pensar. Considerando que, apesar de portarem metodologias distintas, ambas as áreas, filosofia da mente e psicanálise, dedicam-se a um objeto em comum, o presente trabalho se propõe a uma discussão entre um recorte da teoria sobre o pensar em Bion e algumas das principais correntes da filosofia da mente, sob o objetivo de iluminar aquelas duas questões, que as perpassam. Com finalidade de aproximar as possibilidades de diálogos, serão exploradas suas questões metodológicas, bem como o problema sobre o acesso aos fenômenos mentais, construindo um campo para um debate que possa enriquecer não somente estas, mas também outras áreas de investigação que tomem o mesmo objeto.
What can the human mind be? How can such a thing be possible as its investigation? Taking such an object of study the philosophy of mind faces questions about its nature and the reality in which it is situated as well as the relations between both instances, which configures an ontological aspect of its investigation. On the other hand the very act of carrying out an investigation in its epistemological aspect ultimately depends on the functioning of the human mind. As such functioning belongs to the object of the investigation itself the coherence of both ontological and epistemological fields is set by a dynamic construction of one another. In psychoanalysis Bion emphasizes an inquiry of epistemology not only as a basis for psychoanalytic theorizing but also as an instrument to assist in the investigation of mental functioning, particularly in the development of his theory of thinking. Considering that philosophy of mind and psychoanalysis areas are both dedicated to such common object, despite different methodologies, the present work proposes a discussion between a selection of the theory of thinking in Bion and some of the main currents of the philosophy of mind with the aim of illuminating those two questions which permeate them. Under the purpose of turning the possibilities of dialogues closer their methodological questions as well as the problem of accessing mental phenomena will be explored, building a debating field that could enrich not only these but also other areas of investigation which take the same object.
