Resumo
Esta dissertação é fruto da conjugação de pesquisa bibliográfica e de campo, cujo objetivo é desenvolver um estudo procurando entender as inter-relações socioculturais e econômicas que se estabelecem no processo de formação do espaço sagrado no município de Quixadá. E também seus efeitos sobre o turismo praticado na Região dos Monólitos cearenses, tomando como objeto de análise o Santuário Nossa Senhora Imaculada Rainha do Sertão e a Casa de Repouso São José. Para tal, deu-se voz a díspares segmentos sociais, tais quais: comerciantes, romeiros e a população em geral, aplicando instrumentos de averiguação quantitativos e qualitativos. Por intermédio de esforços investigativos, pretende-se contribuir com o debate sobre o processo de territorialidade, levando em consideração os dados que constituem a cultura material e imaterial, que formam o patrimônio da cidade. Assim, facilitando a compreensão da relação identitária, significados e ideia de pertencimento que se formou/forma entre os espaços sagrados, a população e o lugar. Como resultado do processo investigativo, percebeu-se que o Santuário, além de representar elemento de maior relação de pertencimento ao lugar, constitui segmento de peregrinação religiosa de massa, portanto, um grande componente de promoção e valorização do lugar, enquanto a Casa de Repouso não consegue evitar seu isolamento do contexto socioeconômico que caracteriza o cotidiano no qual está inserida
This dissertation is the result of a combination of a literature and field research, whose goal is to develop a study trying to understand the sociocultural and economic interrelationships that are established in the formation of the sacred space in the city of Quixadá. And also its effects on the tourism practiced in the Region of Ceará Monolith, taking as object of analysis the Nossa Senhora Imaculada Rainha do Sertão Sanctuary São José Nursing Home. With this aim, it was considered several social segments, such as: traders , pilgrims and the local population, using the tools of quantitative and qualitative investigation. Through the of these investigative efforts, we intend to contribute to the debate about the process of territoriality, taking into account the data that constitute the material and immaterial culture, how that form the city heritage. Thus, facilitating the understanding of the relationship of identity, meaning and idea of belonging that formed/form between the sacred spaces, the people and the place. As a result of the investigative process, it was noticed that the Sanctuary, besides representing element of a greater relationship to the place of belonging, it also represents a segment of mass religious tourism, therefore, a large component of the promotion and enhancement of the place, while the Nursing Home can´t prevent its isolation from the socioeconomic context that characterizes daily life in which it operates
