Resumo
Esta Dissertação de Mestrado tem como tema o papel do Bibliotecário na Escola Normal paulista, compreendido como agente mediador da circulação de saberes pedagógicos considerados hegemônicos e necessários ao exercício da profissão docente. Ele é o responsável pela seleção, organização e disponibilização das obras que compõem o acervo da Biblioteca Escolar. O objetivo desta dissertação consiste em compreender aspectos ainda pouco explorados sobre a formação de professores primários no Estado de São Paulo, partindo da revisão bibliográfica sobre a Escola Normal paulista e do estudo da legislação específica sobre a implantação da Biblioteca e a função desempenhada pelo Bibliotecário nas Escolas Normais paulistas. A delimitação cronológica para a investigação inicia-se no ano de 1911 - quando, por meio do Decreto 2025 ocorre a transformação das Escolas Complementares em Escolas Normais Primárias e tanto a Biblioteca quanto a função do Bibliotecário passam a ser normatizadas – e finaliza-se no ano de 1933, quando é publicado o Decreto 5884 que institui o Código de Educação do Estado de São Paulo, que atribui uma função mais pedagógica ao Bibliotecário. Com a finalidade de subsidiar o desenvolvimento da pesquisa e para alcançar os objetivos propostos, essa investigação parte dos pressupostos de análise da História Cultural, o que permite visualizar uma realidade e dela obter distintos olhares. Para Chartier, principal referência neste trabalho, é preciso compreender o ponto de articulação entre o mundo do texto e o mundo do sujeito que dele se apropria e por meio de suas apreensões como constrói sua percepção do real. This Master Dissertation has as its theme the role of the librarian at the Normal School in São Paulo, understood as a mediator in the circulation of pedagogical knowledge considered hegemonic and needed for practicing the profession. He is the responsible for the selection, organization and availability of works that make up the school library collection. The objective of this dissertation is to understand not yet too explored aspects on the training of teachers in the state of São Paulo, based on the literature review on the Normal School and on the study of the legislation that regulates the function of librarians and library. The chronological boundaries for research begin in 1911, when the library and the librarian function become normalized – and end up in 1933, when it published the Education Code of the State of São Paulo that assigns to the librarian a pedagogical function. In order to support the development to the research to achieve the proposed objectives, this research part from the assumptions of analysis of Cultural History, which enables you to view and obtain different look form the reality. For Chartier, main reference in this work, it is necessary to understand the point of articulation between the world of the text and the world of the subject that it appropriates and through their apprehensions how they build their perception of reality. Through the professional literature on the topic and the development of documentary research in the Library of the old Normal School of Piracicaba, it has been possible to reflect on the relationship between the movement of pedagogical knowledge and the role of Normal School Librarian.
