Resumo
O trabalho teve por objetivo dissecar e descrever o encéfalo da perdiz (Rhynchotus rufescens, Temminck, 1815) para termos uma descrição anatômica referente à espécie. Foram utilizados 10 animais, e o material foi coletado após o abate de animais oriundos de projetos na área de produção. As aves, foram dissecadas com o objetivo de identificar estruturas anatômicas do encéfalo, e foi possível visualizar, nas dissecações, o aspecto lisencefálico do cérebro, hemisférios cerebrais direito e esquerdo, fissura mediana, ventrículos encefálicos, glândula pineal, corpo caloso, cerebelo e os lóbulos do vermis cerebelar, a ausência de hemisférios cerebelares, havendo somente a presença da aurícula cerebelar. O lobo óptico bem desenvolvido, mostrando que o sentido da visão é de grande importância para as aves,o mesencéfalo, ponte e o bulbo também foi identificado, estas regiões tronco encefálicas. Identificou-se também a paquimeninge e as leptomeninges.
The objective of this work was to dissect and describe the brain of the partridge (Rhynchotus rufescens, Temminck, 1815) in order to have an anatomical description referring to the species. 10 animals were used, and the material was collected after the slaughter of animals from projects in the production area. The birds were dissected in order to identify anatomical structures of the brain, and it was possible to visualize, in the dissections, the lysencephalic aspect of the brain, right and left cerebral hemispheres, median fissure, brain ventricles, pineal gland, corpus callosum, cerebellum and the lobes of the cerebellar vermis, the absence of cerebellar hemispheres, with only the presence of the cerebellar auricle. The well-developed optic lobe, showing that the sense of sight is of great importance for birds, the midbrain, pons and bulb has also been identified, these brainstem regions. Pachymeninges and leptomeninges were also identified.
