Atividade enzimática da superóxido dismutase em resposta aos fitorreguladores em Gerbera jamensonii

The objective of this study was to evaluate best concentrations of phytohormones benzylaminopurine and naphthalene acetic acid in various concentrations in leaf explants of gerbera for obtaining somatic embryogenesis and the use of superoxide dismutases (SOD) as a biochemical marker for the evaluation selection of calluses Gerbera jamesonii cv. Cherry. Fully expanded leaves of plants Gerbera jamesonii cv. Cherry were submitted to the disinfection, cut in fragments (1cm<sup>2</sup>) and inoculated in MS media in a factorial growth phytoregulators combination (5x5): benzilaminopurine-BAP (0; 0.5; 1.0; 2.0 and 4.0 mg.L<sup>-1</sup>) and naphthaleneacetic acid-ANA (0; 0.25; 0.50; 1.0 and 2.0 mg.L<sup>-1</sup>). The calluses were evaluated in two periods at 30 and 60 days observing the growth and coloration. The best combination of growth phytoregulators to obtain friable calluses were 1.0 /1.0 mg.L<sup>-1</sup>BAP / NAA, 1.0 / 2.0 mg.L<sup>-1</sup> BAP / NAA, 0.5 / 0.5 mg.L<sup>-1</sup> BAP / NAA respectively. There was an increase in the enzymatic activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD) when used combination of phytohormones 2,0 / 2,0 and 4,0 / 1,0 mg.L<sup>-1</sup>BAP / NAA and consequently lower growth of calluses.
