Resumo
Assuming that contemporary cities experienced the transition from the disciplinary society (characterized by the bodies disciplining) to the society of control (characterized by disciplining the masses). We analyzed the way in which new disciplinary techniques, among which stand out those related to the spatial organization (in its multiple scales), are articulated to securing power. Insecurity becomes an increasingly important urban space production dimension, while improving access to popular housing, in a process characterized by the popular residential spaces closed (ERPFEs) emergence and rapid spread which, according our hypothesis, express and reproduce new social forms control typical of the society of control. In this article, we adopted the routine analytical perspective, we focus our the spatial practices of the residents on ERPFEs in Presidente Prudente/SP and Tres Lagoas/MS in order to identify the exercise control on the daily residents lives.
