Although of all the changes and evolutions, one component that changed a little and maintains its importance inside the vehicle is the internal combustion engine. The main objective of this work is show and approximate people to the components and materials presents in an internal combustion engine from vehicles, that in most of times pass unnoticed or are not even known to people. To realize this work the material and content utilized have come mainly from existing manufacturers of each component and also classes and presentations about the theme, that besides present some materials classifications also described some manufacturing processes. In the end of this work stayed concluded and clear the preservation of materials like steel, cast iron and aluminum, also their respective alloys, in the composition of an engine, both by the mechanical properties and by the security proportionate with your use.Muitas mudanças já aconteceram e vem acontecendo nos carros na atualidade. Apesar de toda essa mudança e evolução, um componente que mudou muito pouco e que permanece tendo a sua importância dentro do veículo é o motor de combustão interna. O principal objetivo desse trabalho é apresentar e também aproximar as pessoas aos componentes e materiais presentes em um motor de combustão interna de veículos, que na maioria das vezes passam despercebidos ou até não são do conhecimento das pessoas. Para a realização desse trabalho o material e conteúdo utilizado veio principalmente de fabricantes existentes de cada um dos componentes e também de aulas e apresentações sobre o tema, que além de apresentarem algumas classificações dos materiais também descreveram alguns processos de fabricação.
