The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of silicate sources on the attractiveness and preference to the aphid R. maidis in two maize. The experiment was conducted at the Entomology Laboratory of the Instituto Federal Goiano - Campus Urutai, the treatments were made in maize plants in two different hybrids, the treatments were 1) witness, 2) Sodium silicate 2%, 3) potassium silicate 2%, 4) calcium silicate and magnesium in the soil to 2%, and 5) Acibenzolar-S-methyl (ASM) (25 g ha-1). Experiments were carried out preferably with no chance and no choice. Generally silicon application contributed to an increase in the induction of non-preference of Rhopalosiphum maidis, and ASM proved equal in attractiveness of the aphid with the witness.23-29porinsectaIPMpulgao-do-milhosiliconZea maysEfects of the resistance inducers in attractiviness to aphid Rhopalosiphum maidis (Fitch, 1856) (Hemiptera: Aphididae) in cornArtigoWOS:000359998100003Acesso restrito
