Divide-se em três capítulos: a trajetória política e intelectual de Bookchin; a definição de anti-humanismo e suas manifestações na sociedade; e a influência nociva do anti-humanismo sobre o anarquismo. As ideias anti-humanistas se caracterizam por uma recusa dos valores do Iluminismo, dentre os quais está o otimismo em relação ao progresso social e à capacidade da razão em compreender o mundo em sua totalidade. Como consequência, o pensamento anti-humanista se opõe ao socialismo, em geral, e ao anarquismo, em particular, ao rejeitar a possibilidade de uma transformação radical das relações sociais. Constatase que as reflexões de Murray Bookchin oferecem contribuições significativas para o entendimento de uma série de teorias e ideologias que se popularizaram na cultura acadêmica e popular nas últimas décadas.This dissertation analyzes the category of antihumanism proposed by Murray Bookchin, an American intellectual linked to anarchism and social ecology, as a critical tool for understanding the ideological counterrevolution that began in the second half of the 20th century. It is divided into three chapters: Bookchin's political and intellectual trajectory; the definition of antihumanism and its manifestations in society; and the harmful influence of antihumanism on anarchism. Antihumanist ideas are characterized by a rejection of the values of the Enlightenment, among which is optimism regarding social progress and the capacity of reason to understand the world in its entirety. As a consequence, antihumanist thought opposes socialism in general and anarchism in particular by rejecting the possibility of a radical transformation of social relations.
