The mathematical model of the pendulum is obtained considering a harmonic displacement of its base. For power generation, two pneumatic pistons are introduced to generate compressed air. Numerical simulations demonstrate that the largest amount of energy harvesting happens in these chaotic regimes.569-575engChaotic oscillationsEnergy harvestingMechanical vibrationsNonlinear systemsOn energy harvesting from ambient vibrations through an oscillating pendulum system fixed to a suspended plataformArtigo2-s2.0-85091498068
