In this optional course the final work is research student with the population. The results show the importance of contact with the population for the student, the quality of the research carried and the level of student satisfaction.Este trabalho apresenta as características da disciplina “Meio Ambiente e Radiações Ionizantes e não Ionizantes”, evidenciando o caráter formativo e extensionista que vem de encontro com uma formação mais ampliada dos alunos dos cursos da FCT/UNESP. Nesta disciplina optativa o trabalho final é a pesquisa do aluno junto à população.
