Six species of Gerromorpha had been previously recorded from the area based on isolated collection events, namely Oiovelia brasiliensis Moreira, Nessimian & Rúdio, 2010, Rhagovelia accedens Drake, 1957, R. aiuruoca Moreira & Ribeiro, 2009, R. henryi Polhemus, 1997, R. lucida Gould, 1931, and R. trepida Bacon, 1948.
