For this purpose, tryptophan supplemented diets were prepared as follows: RC (3,2g amino acid kg-1, control), R2 -6,40g kg-1, R4 -12,80g kg-1, R6 -19,60g kg-1 and R8 -25,60g kg-1, offering two portions for the selfbalancing tests. The results showed that Nile Tilapia self-balanced daily consumption of tryptophan, improving feed intake, weight gain, standard length and feed conversion.
