O córpus da pesquisa compreende matérias publicadas no jornal Folha de S. Paulo durante o período de janeiro de 2000 a dezembro de 2014. A fundamentação teórica utilizada se baseará na antropologia interpretativa de C. Geertz, nos conceitos de identidade de D. Cuche e em outros teóricos que possam contribuir para a realização desta pesquisa. Busca-se examinar como os elementos presentes nas matérias buscam representar a imagem e a realidade dos indivíduos travestis enquanto participantes da construção cultural da sociedade. E como o diário se apropria de tais construções sociais para que possa formular seus textos.This research aims to analyze how the daily newspaper Folha de S. Paulo, from the publication of stories produces a construction and reproduction of the image of travestis individuals as symbolic representatives that are part of society and are embedded in the culture in which we live. The research corpus includes articles published in the newspaper Folha de S. Paulo during the period January 2000 to December 2014. The theoretical basis used will be based on the interpretive anthropology of C. Geertz, on the concepts of D. Cuche's identity and on other theorists who can contribute to this research.
