In this article, we aim to investigate the rhetorical structure of the first 15 minutes of ten initial teletandem oral sessions (iTOS), namely, the first skype meeting between the partners. The results point to the standardization of discourse in the iTOS and highlights the association between rhetorical structure and learning scenario (Foucher 2010).RESUMO Este estudo concentra-se no contexto de teletandem, um ambiente virtual e colaborativo de aprendizagem de línguas em que estudantes universitários encontram-se semanalmente por meio de ferramentas de comunicação síncrona para a aprendizagem da língua um do outro (Telles 2006). Neste artigo, temos por objetivo investigar a estrutura retórica dos primeiros 15 minutos de dez sessões orais de teletandem iniciais, isto é, o primeiro encontro via skype entre os parceiros.
