Desse modo, ao longo do desenvolvimento do mesmo será abordado um pouco sobre a trajetória de vida dessa figura histórica para a cidade citada, bem como alguns feitos dentro das indústrias que ele fundou e que serviram também como ponto de partida financeiro para a Fundação Romi. O foco da análise está em todo o processo de criação, construção e no funcionamento da fundação que ele deixou e da escola estadual que leva o seu nome. A intenção é investigar suas motivações e toda a relação que ele tinha com a educação, seus esforços para que a qualidade da mesma melhorasse de forma significativa na cidade, e todo o processo pelo qual foi necessário passar para que a Fundação Romi se tornasse uma grande instituição que ajudou muitas pessoas. A pesquisa se utilizará de metodologia qualitativa e terá suas fontes baseadas em bibliografias da figura central referida e fontes disponíveis no Centro de Documentação Histórica do município de Santa Bárbara d’Oeste.This study brings as theme the contributions to education of Santa Bárbara d’Oeste city by Comendador Américo Emílio Romi. Therefore, it will be discussed a little bit about the life trajectory of this historical figure for the mentioned city during the development of this paper, as well as some achievements within the industries he founded and which also served as a financial starting point for the Romi Foundation. The focus here is on the whole process of creation, construction, and functioning of the foundation that he has left and the state school that bears his name.
