The objective of this study was to identify what the criteria taken into account are, in choosing these new members and understanding what the professional profile of the Cia Éxciton helps form to value certain selection criteria. Therefore, we analyzed the official documents of this project and the minutes, reports and journals produced by its own members and former members to the evaluation of the selection process carried out between the years 2008 to 2014. This analysis brought answers to the following questions: What is to be Éxciton? ; What Profiling / attitude is expected from the new member so that he/she can also compose and add to the work of Cia.?. It was, therefore, a documentary research that used the principles of qualitative research to capture the themes / categories of analysis related to the problem in question and understand the scope of the criteria identified in the field of vocational training. There was appreciation of evidence of professional training related to the exercise of sensitivity, which implies the need to find the future member at the time of selection, a disposition by the pursuit of knowledge and practices that go beyond the curriculum framework (in which it straightens the theoretical and conceptual knowledge and rational) and therefore demands of the future member development of skills and competencies related to the exercise of creativityPara a inclusão de novos integrantes a Cia. Éxciton - projeto de extensão em Dança do Departamento de Educação Física, Instituto de Biociências, Unesp Rio Claro - realiza audições (seleções), através das quais busca por novos integrantes que levem adiante suas ações de extensão universitária. O objetivo deste trabalho foi identificar quais são os critérios levados em conta na escolha destes novos integrantes e compreender qual é o perfil de profissional que a Cia. Éxciton ajuda a formar ao valorizar certos critérios de seleção. Para tanto analisamos os documentos oficiais desse projeto e as atas, relatórios e diários produzidos pelos próprios integrantes e ex-integrantes para a avaliação dos processos seletivos realizados entre os anos de 2008 a 2014. Tal análise buscou respostas às seguintes questões: O que é ser éxciton?; Que perfil/atitude se espera do novo integrante para que ele também possa compor e acrescentar com o trabalho da Cia.?. Tratou-se, portanto, de uma pesquisa documental que utilizou princípios da pesquisa qualitativa para capturar os temas/categorias de análise relativos à problemática em questão e compreender o alcance dos critérios identificados no âmbito da formação profissional.
