The objective of this study was to evaluate the allelopathic influence of boiled and crushed extracts of seeds of Amburana cearensis on the germination of lettuce seeds (Lactuca sativa L.), beggar-ticks (Bidens pilosa L.) and burr (Cenchrus echinatus L.) under laboratory conditions and the plantule emergence of beggar-ticks (Bidens pilosa L.) and burr (Cenchrus echinatus L.) under greenhouse conditions. Under laboratory conditions, it was aimed to evaluate the influence of these extracts in protein, starch and lipids of lettuce seeds (Lactuca sativa L.) during the germination process. The bioassays were conducted in a germination chamber of the Germination Laboratory and in the Greenhouse of the Department of Botany and in the Laboratory of Biochemistry of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry of the Institute of Biosciences of Botucatu, UNESP, Botucatu (SP). To verify the effect of the seed extract of A. cearensis in the germination of the tested seeds, it was used six treatments, T1: Evidence (distilled H2O); T2: Coumarin 100 mg L-1; T3: 20g of ground seeds of A. cearensis L-1 distilled H2O (boiled extract); T4: 40g of ground seeds of A. cearensis L-1 distilled H2O (boiled extract); T5: 20g of ground seeds of A. cearensis L-1 of distilled H2O (ground extract) and T6: 40g of ground seeds of A. cearensis L-1 of distilled H2O (ground extract), with 4 repetitions of 30 seeds to each bioassay in a germination chamber and 10 seeds per each repetition per treatment in bioassay in the greenhouse. The effects of the extracts were evaluated by the percentage of seed germination and plantule emergence. We also evaluated the levels of total soluble sugars, total flavonoids and total phenols in the extracts and the protein levels, starch and lipids in lettuce seeds treated with extracts of A. cearensis during periods of 0, 6, 12, 24, 48 and 56 hours after sowing...
