Resumo
A pesquisa tem como foco a análise da expansão urbana, a questão do patrimônio cultural e ambiental, e a especulação imobiliária em Cotia e Itapevi. O objetivo é demonstrar formas de luta e resistência para preservação do patrimônio cultural e ambiental local. Para isso, serão considerados algumas notas sobre a história de São Paulo, a questão dos aldeamentos, a constituição da rede de caminhos rumo ao interior e o surgimento dos agrupamentos e núcleos populacionais na região. O surgimento das grandes fazendas, os bairros rurais e as vilas servirão de referência para apreender a dinâmica espacial que envolveu a área de estudo, onde serão abordados temas como a apropriação do espaço urbano, transformações do meio físico e a preservação do patrimônio cultural e natural, discussões pertinentes no campo da Geografia. Neste contexto, também refletir sobre as mudanças trazidas pela expansão urbana sobre o modo de vida de populações locais permitindo novas representações sociais sobre o lugar.
The research focuses on the analysis of urban expansion, the issue of cultural of ambiental heritage and real estate speculation in Cotia and Itapevi, state of São Paulo, Brazil. The objective is to demonstrate ways of struggle and resistance for preservation of natural and cultural heritage. With this propose, will be considered some notes on the history of São Paulo, the issue of indigenous settlements, the establishment of the paths towards the territory and the emergence of groups and nucleus in the region. The emergence of large farms, rural neighborhoods and villages will serve as a reference to understand the spatial dynamics that involved the study area, which will be considered issues such as the appropriation of urban space, the physical environment changes and the preservation of cultural and natural heritage - relevant discussions in the field of Geography. In this context, we also reflect on the changes that the urban expansion brought in the life of local people, allowing new social representations about the place.
