This work presents a study on the evaluation of the bioelectricity expansion potential in the southwest microregion of the state of Goiás, aiming to know the available quantity, the geographic location of the energy potential and the electric power in the energy conversion of the agricultural residual biomass, Livestock and silvicultural. The methodology used was a research with gross annual production data in the State Geographic Information System (SIEG), followed by the application of equations found in the literature to determine the waste quantities, and to estimate the energy production (TJ) and the electric power (MW) for the studied microregion, considering different scenarios. Among the eighteen municipalities in the southwest microregion of the state of Goiás, Rio Verde, Jataí, Mineiros and Montividiu were the most prominent in terms of biomass production, energy potential and electric power. When analyzing the residual energy potential, it is noticed that the soybean crop obtained the significant value of 38 thousand TJ for technological situation of the direct combustion, being this value superior to the bagasse of the sugar cane. Residual biomass of soybean is available in the southwestern micro region of the State of Goiás during the off-season of the sugaralcohol plants, which may favor the energy cogeneration process. The other types of residues had lower values than those of the soybean crop, but were significant for the energy utilization.
