Sexualidade e identidade feminina em “Iracema” de José de Alencar: da literatura romântica de vestibular à visão crítica dos vestibulandos

Resumo
O romance indianista romântico Iracema, de José de Alencar, objeto de leitura para o vestibular, pode ganhar novas dimensões significativas para os leitores jovens se práticas de ressignificação discursiva forem adotadas no processo de orientação da decodificação da obra e como subsídio para a Educação Sexual formal dentro da escola. Além das informações sobre as condições de produção do romance, incluindo a estética romântica, a temática indianista, e o projeto nacionalista do autor, é assaz enriquecedora a atualização do seu conteúdo tendo em vista o horizonte de expectativa dos novos leitores da literatura canônica. Esta prática de leitura literária é de extrema importância para o jovem refletir sobre temáticas da sexualidade e especialmente sobre a identidade feminina tanto dentro da ficção da obra canônica quanto na realidade de sua vida cotidiana. Portanto os principais objetivos aqui propostos são: identificar no texto romântico a presença de discursos sobre a sexualidade e a identidade feminina, com análise da sua formatação idealista e nacionalista conforme os postulados da estética romântica e seus objetivos de origem europeia adaptados aos interesses do movimento no contexto histórico social brasileiro do século 19; para em seguida por meio dessas práticas de leitura da obra literária promover subsídios para uma educação sexual formal dentro do âmbito escolar. Para tanto serão utilizadas como referências as obras de críticos consagrados como Antônio Cândido, Alfredo Bosi, Luiz Roncari entre outros. Em relação ao processo de ressignificação da temática sobre a sexualidade e identidade do feminino, além da colaboração da leitura crítica dos vestibulandos, será adotada como metodologia as orientações da análise do discurso francesa e as reflexões foucaultianas sobre a sexualidade, a discursivização, os mecanismos de controle discursivo assim como seu conceito de sujeito discursivo. As novas ciências da linguagem possibilitam, com suas novas ferramentas de análise, ampliar a discussão sobre a realidade histórica e cultural contemporânea por meio de novos formatos de leitura sem declinar das obras canônicas; bem como promover subsídios à criação de produtos para uma educação sexual formal, tais como, workshops, palestras, entre outros.
José de Alencar's romantic indianist novel Iracema, which is the subject of reading for college entrance examinations, may gain new dimensions for young readers if discursive re-signification practices are adopted in the process of guiding the decoding of the work and as a subsidy for formal Sexual Education within the school. In addition to information on the production conditions of the novel, including romantic aesthetics, indianist issue and the author's nationalist project, it is very enriching the updating of its content in view of the horizon of expectation of the new readers of the canonical literature. This practice of literary reading is of extreme importance for young people to reflect on the themes of sexuality and especially on the feminine identity both within the fiction of the canonical work and in the reality of their daily life. Therefore, the main objectives proposed here are: to identify in the romantic text the presence of discourses on sexuality and feminine identity, analyzing their idealistic and nationalistic forms according to the postulates of romantic aesthetics and the objectives of European origin adapted to the interests of the movement in the Brazilian social historical context of the 19th century; and then through these practices of reading the literary work to promote subsidies for a formal sexual education within the school context. For this purpose, the works of critics such as Antonio Cândido, Alfredo Bosi, Luiz Roncari among others, will be used as reference. Regarding the process of re-signification on sexuality and feminine identity, besides the collaboration of the critical reading of the students, the methodology will be based on the premises of the French discourse analysis and the Foucaultian reflections on sexuality, discursivization, the mechanisms of discursive control as well as its concept of discursive subject. With new tools of analysis, the new language sciences enable us to broaden our discussion of contemporary historical and cultural reality through new modes of reading without declining canonical works, either in national or universal literature; as well as to promote subsidies for the creation of products for a formal sex education, such as workshops, lectures, among others.
